Not just About Banking, We’re About Living
Submit a Sponsorship or Donation Request
Charitable Contributions Guidelines
All requests must be made in writing to NBD by submitting an online form, via email to email@example.com or delivered to a branch.
Each request will be reviewed and approved according to the Bank’s approval procedures. We ask that organizations request funding no more than once per calendar year.
Funds will be allocated based on the criteria outlined in this website, alignment with strategic objectives of the Bank and availability of funds.
Approval is based solely on NBD’s discretion. NBD is under no obligation to approve a request from any organization.
In general, NBD does not make charitable contributions to:
- Political organizations, candidates or lobbying efforts
- Employment unions
- Individual churches or other religious organizations except for programmes that are non-sectarian and benefit a broad base of the community
- Major charity agencies
- Initiatives or organizations that, by association, pose a reputational risk to NBD
The following requests will receive low priority:
- Not-for-charity events and activities
- Initiatives that benefit an individual as opposed to a group or the wider community
- Travel, including student trips
If your organization would like to be considered for a Charitable Contribution, please submit a request as follows:
Complete the applicable online request form and submit via our website, email a completed copy of the form to firstname.lastname@example.org or deliver the completed form to a branch. If additional supporting documents will accompany the application form, it is better to submit via email or deliver to a branch.
Requests must be received by NBD a minimum of thirty (30) days prior to the event or activity to allow sufficient time for the Bank’s evaluation and payment processes. Approval of sponsorship requests may take longer. Applicants will be notified via contact information provided if NBD approves your request.
All submissions must provide the information requested in NBD’s request form. In the event that the application is denied due to incomplete information, the amended application may be re-submitted for consideration.
